You're Already Doing It (You Just Haven't Been Paid Yet)

If you are mentoring, teaching, leading, or helping the people right in front of you..

You’re probably already coaching without realizing it.

You’ve already been holding space. You’ve already been helping people find clarity, feel seen, make decisions, and move forward.

The only difference?

You haven’t been paid for it… yet.

See, so many women wait to call themselves a coach until they have a website, a certification, a business card, and a “real” client. But the truth is—coaching doesn’t begin when someone pays you. It begins the moment you start showing up intentionally for the transformation of another person.

And since you’re reading this, I’d bet anything you’ve been doing that for a while.

Maybe you’ve walked friends through grief or transition. Perhaps people come to you when they need clarity or a safe space to process their thoughts. Maybe you’ve found yourself saying things like, “Tell me more about that,” or “What do you think is really going on underneath?” without even realizing those are coaching moves.

You’ve been practicing in real time. Without the label.Without the paycheck.Without the platform.

And now? You’re starting to wonder if it’s time to own that.

Time to shift your paradigm!
Time to shift your paradigm!

Let’s talk about what that shift looks like—because it’s not just about money. It’s about mindset.

It’s about moving from:

“helpful friend” to “skilled guide.”

“I’m just being nice” to “I’m bringing something valuable.

“this is just who I am” to “this is also what I do, and I can structure it, name it, and invite others into it."

Let me be clear- there is nothing wrong with offering encouragement and insight as a gift.

But when you feel that nudge to go further… to give this a container… to treat it like the work it is… that’s not pride.

That’s alignment.

You’re not selling your friendship. You’re creating a space that has intention, rhythm, structure, and support. You’re saying, “This matters.”And it does.

So if you’ve ever caught yourself thinking:

“I love helping people, but I’m not sure I’m qualified.”Or, “This comes so naturally—could I really charge for it?”Or even, “Who would pay for what I already do for free?”

Let me offer you a reframe:

Just because something comes naturally to you doesn’t mean it’s not valuable. It might mean it’s exactly what you’re made to offer.

And guess what? People are looking for what you carry. They just need to know it exists. They need a way to access it.

So here’s your challenge this week:

Write down five situations where you’ve already shown up like a coach. Maybe it was a deep conversation with a friend. Maybe you helped someone work through a decision. Maybe you listened so well that someone said, “I’ve never said that out loud before.”

Write them down. Don’t dismiss them.

Then ask yourself: What would it look like to give that same energy and care to a client who’s invested in the process? What would it feel like to step into that role on purpose?

You don’t have to become someone else. You just have to name what you’re already doing. And then build a container that honors it.

If that’s the season you’re in, you’re not alone.

That’s what our coach training is for. To help women like you go from “this is something I do” to “this is a sacred, sustainable part of who I am and how I serve.”

You’re already doing it. Now it’s time to own it.
