Hi there, I’m Laura.

 

I’m a Christian life and business coach, story mentor, and founder of Sterling & Stone. I work with women who feel called to make an impact in the world, but aren’t sure how to name it, claim it, or offer it.

That’s where I come in.

I help women uncover the wisdom they’ve gained from their experiences—and learn how to use it to live with clarity, lead with confidence, and guide others through coaching, ministry, or mentorship.

I believe in legacy, not just goals.

In Kingdom purpose, not just personal growth.

I created the PEARL Practice (a biblical, brain-based, paradigm-shifting framework) to help women like you process their story, renew their mind, and live with intention. It’s the tool I wish I had when I was untangling everything I thought I was supposed to be.

​

This work is deeply personal for me.

Because like you, I’ve wrestled with identity, purpose, and belonging.
I’ve questioned my voice and leadership again and again.
I’ve battled the lie that says “you need a huge following or a major platform to make a difference.”
I’ve started over more than once. And had to face myself in the mirror each time and coach that girl into taking imperfect action yet again.

But through it all, God kept bringing me back to this truth:

WANT A BIT MORE PERSONAL INFO?

​

I have five children- three born of my womb and two born of my heart- all of whom I love deeply. Motherhood is the greatest honor I could ask for, though it has refined me through deep trials, exposed my weaknesses, and challenged my belief in myself.

​

In 2007, my husband and I founded a nonprofit organization called Crisis Response International (CRI), focused on meeting the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of people impacted by disaster and crisis. That call has led us to make many places home. To date, we’ve had 19 addresses in 23 years of marriage, while homeschooling the entire time. (I’m pretty sure that qualifies me to teach a course on reusing cardboard boxes in 101 creative ways!)

Over the past 18 years, I’ve developed deep skills in coordinating trainings and events, leading teams, and teaching our growing family of responders and missionaries. It’s been an honor to walk with the hurting and to equip those with a heart to help. Today, we have more than 20,000 trained responders in the CRI family.

​

Sterling & Stone, however, is the fruit of my heart’s vision to teach, challenge, and inspire believers who long to reshape their world, impact the lives in front of them, and step into a season of intentional investment in their story.

 

I want to grow that small spark in you that says you were created for something more into a roaring fire that others can see and feel.

​

I love love personal development and intentional growth. To be living in my tessitura (my sweet spot) is to be using my creativity and wisdom to mentor and inspire you to create your own story and experience abundant life on purpose.

​

I’ve lived much of my life letting it happen to me. At some point, I decided I couldn’t do that anymore. I refuse to be a victim of circumstance. I am becoming my own StoryMaker.

 

No one else gets to own my story- only I do. Just me and Jesus get to hold the pencil.

Over the past 10 years, I’ve built my business through a series of pivots and Spirit-led shifts. That’s life, right?

​

I began with general life coaching clients, then worked with women who wanted to start businesses. From there, more clients came who wanted to use coaching inside their existing work or ministry. Then I heard the Lord say, “It’s time to go from addition to multiplication.”

​

That’s when I began building The Greenhouse Course, where I train and certify helping-hearted people as Sterling & Stone Coaches. Inside the Greenhouse, I teach the PEARL Practice- a biblical, brain-based, Spirit-led framework for transformation. This tool was a gift God downloaded to me one day, and I continue to have dreams and revelations about all the ways He intends to use it to bring healing, clarity, and purpose to others.

​

As I trained more coaches, I saw a pattern: many of them knew they wanted to coach and could figure out how, but they struggled to define who they were meant to work with and what results they could help their clients get. That’s what led me to create the Niche Clarity Course.

​

From there, it only made sense to help coaches skip the learning curve and avoid the duct-taped version of business-building I experienced. That’s how the Called to Coach Course and Masterminds like the Consultant Coach Intensive were born. I love helping coaches get their SOCOCA System in place: the six essential processes every online coaching business needs to grow and thrive.
